St. Mary Early Learning Center was the vision of Fr. Albert Boumans and parishioner Catherine Andrew. St. Mary Early Learning Center opened its' doors in 1991 to accommodate 3 & 4 year olds. The idea proved to be a huge success and a 2 year-old program was quickly added.St. Mary ELC has continued to grow with a solid reputation for an excellent curriculum and outstanding faculty. As the program continues to grow, enrollment increases, more teachers & aides join the team and the program continues to enrich the children of St. Mary Parish.
Our Philosophy
St. Mary Early Learning Center is a Catholic School with a Christian-centered child development program that includes a concern for the whole child. A balance of spiritual, social, emotional, intellectual, and physical growth nurtured in a positive, supportive atmosphere is provided to encourage each child to become a loving, independent individual with a keen sense of self-worth.
St. Mary Early Learning Center emphasizes an experience-based learning environment with spontaneous play within a carefully planned classroom setting. The continuing development of a cooperative understanding between educators, spiritual directors and parents is needed to guide the child in becoming an individual who knows the fullness of God's love.
